Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026.
These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Make Up Bloom at makeupbloom.com. They are written to match how the site works on the date above. On that date the site is a static, read-only educational publication with no accounts, comments, newsletter, advertising or analytics, and with a contact form and a public email address as the only ways to send us a message. If the way the site works changes, these terms will be updated to match.
Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Make Up Bloom, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms work together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclosure page, which explain how information is handled and how the site is funded. The About page describes the editorial persona that publishes the content. If one of those pages conflicts with these terms on a specific subject, the more specific page controls for that subject, for example the Privacy Policy on privacy matters and the Disclosure page on commercial relationships. The site does not currently publish a legal entity name, postal address or jurisdiction for its operator. In these terms, we, us and Make Up Bloom mean the owners, operators, editors and contributors of the site, acting through the site. You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live, or use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian. The site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
What the site is and how it is provided
Make Up Bloom publishes general beauty information for women in the United States, including guides, product roundups, comparisons and explainers about makeup, skincare, hair, nails and cosmetic procedures. Men’s grooming is outside the scope of the site. The site is a static website served through a Cloudflare Worker with static assets. It has no user accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no public user-content features. The site is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not sell products, take orders or process payments. We may add, change, reorganize or remove pages, features or content at any time without notice. We do not promise that the site will be available at all times, free of interruptions or errors, or free of harmful components. Pages or the contact form may be unavailable because of maintenance, hosting, network or email-delivery problems, or for other reasons. Content can become outdated, and we do not promise that any page is complete, current or suitable for your situation. Images on the site are illustrative and are not before-and-after results from real clients or customers. The site’s writer is a fictional editorial persona, as the About page explains, and the persona’s biography and generated portrait are part of an editorial voice.
Permitted use and prohibited conduct
You may read the site and share links to it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use the site in a way that is unlawful, harmful or unfair to others or to us. In particular, you agree not to do any of the following:
- Interfere with or disrupt the site, its hosting infrastructure or the networks connected to it.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its source code repository, its hosting accounts, its email systems or any related systems.
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site, or bypass any security or abuse-protection measure, including the spam checks on the contact form.
- Use bots, scrapers or automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the site or that ignores technical restrictions.
- Submit the contact form automatically, in bulk, or through scripts intended to defeat the Cloudflare Turnstile check.
- Copy substantial portions of the content, republish them as your own, or present them as endorsed by us.
- Send spam, malware, threats, harassing or unlawful messages through the contact form or to the email address listed on the site.
- Impersonate the site, its editorial persona or any person, or misrepresent your relationship with us.
- Use the content to train or build a competing commercial product, or resell it, without our written permission.
- Use the site to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
Good-faith security research that is reported to us privately and does not harm other visitors is welcome, although we cannot promise a particular response or any reward. We may investigate suspected violations and may take any step that the law permits, including blocking access and cooperating with authorities.
Intellectual property, reuse and infringement inquiries
The original text, page design, layout and other original materials on Make Up Bloom belong to the site’s owners or are used with permission, unless a page says otherwise. The site’s images may be generated, licensed or otherwise sourced, and the owners claim rights in them only to the extent the owners actually hold them. Product names, brand names, logos and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners. They are used to identify products and topics, and their use does not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation. You may quote short excerpts for commentary, criticism, news reporting, education or other uses that applicable law permits, if you credit Make Up Bloom and link to the original page. You may link to any page on the site. Other reproduction, republication, adaptation, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written permission, which you can request through the Contact page or by email. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership right to you. If you believe that material on the site infringes your copyright or other rights, please contact us at hello@makeupbloom.com or through the contact form with the following details:
- A description of the material and the address of the page where it appears.
- A description of the work or right you believe is infringed.
- Your name and a way to contact you.
- A statement that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act for the rights holder.
- A statement of why you believe the use is not authorized.
The site has not registered a designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office, and we make no claim to any safe-harbor status. We will review good-faith notices and may remove or correct material where we consider it appropriate. We may also reject incomplete, abusive or unfounded notices. Because the owners have not run an end-to-end delivery test of the contact form or the inbox, as explained in the Contact section below, a notice may not reach us. If you do not get a reply, please try again.
Contact form, email and the absence of public user-content features
The site does not offer accounts, comments, reviews, forums, uploads or other places where visitors can publish content. The site does have a contact form on the Contact page, and it has a public email address, hello@makeupbloom.com. Those are private channels to us, and nothing you send through them is published. If you send a question, a correction, a product or topic suggestion or other feedback, you are responsible for what you send. Please do not send anything unlawful, confidential or sensitive, and do not send medical records or detailed health information. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, anything you send us is provided on a non-confidential basis. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, adapt and build on the ideas, suggestions and corrections you send, without credit or payment to you, subject to our Privacy Policy as it applies to your personal information. This license does not give us a right to publish your name or personal details, and we will not do so without your permission. You confirm that you have the right to send what you send and that doing so does not violate anyone else’s rights. We are not obliged to reply to, use or keep any message. Sending a suggestion does not create a promise that we will cover a topic or product. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a submission comes from a person, and using the form means you accept that check as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and all content on it are provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Make Up Bloom and its owners, operators, editors, contributors and service providers disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any information about a product, ingredient, price, procedure or technique is accurate, current or complete. We do not warrant that any product, routine or procedure will work for you, will be safe for you or will produce any particular result. We do not warrant that the contact form or email address will work, that a message will be delivered or that it will be read or answered. We do not warrant that the site is free of viruses or other harmful components, although the site is static and does not ask you to install anything. Some places do not allow certain warranties to be excluded or limited. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent the law allows, and any warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded is limited to the shortest period and narrowest scope the law permits. Nothing in this section affects any consumer right that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
No professional advice and topic-specific risks
The content of Make Up Bloom is educational and general. It is not medical, dermatological, trichological, pharmaceutical, legal or other professional advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not create a doctor-patient, client or other professional relationship between you and anyone connected with the site. The site’s writer is a fictional editorial persona. The persona’s name and generated portrait are not evidence of any credential, license, employment or product testing, as described on the About page. Beauty topics carry real risks, and you use the information at your own risk. Please keep the following in mind.
- Skin and allergic reactions: skincare actives, hair dye, nail products, adhesives and fragrance can cause irritation, allergic reactions, burns or lasting skin damage, and a patch test, while commonly recommended, does not rule out every reaction.
- Conditions that may need diagnosis: persistent or sudden skin changes, rashes, painful or changing moles, hair loss, scalp disease and nail changes can have medical causes and should be assessed by a licensed clinician.
- In-office procedures: Botox and other neuromodulators, dermal fillers, chemical peels, lasers, microneedling and similar procedures carry medical risks, including infection, scarring, pigment changes, vascular complications and, rarely, serious injury, and they should only be performed by appropriately licensed and trained clinicians under the rules that apply where you live.
- At-home devices and DIY methods: LED masks, microneedling tools, home hair removal, home hair color and gel or dip nail removal can cause burns, infection, eye injury or damage to skin, hair and nails, and you should follow manufacturer instructions and consider professional help.
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medication: some ingredients and treatments may not be suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or alongside prescription treatments, so please ask your clinician or pharmacist before starting.
- Product changes: formulas, ingredients, prices, packaging and availability change, so always read the current label and directions from the manufacturer and stop use if you have a bad reaction.
- Individual variation: skin type, skin tone, hair texture, age, health and technique all affect results, and no article can account for your individual circumstances.
- Images: pictures on the site are illustrative and are not real before-and-after results, so they do not show what you can expect.
Never ignore professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read on this site. If you think you are having a medical emergency or a severe allergic reaction, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not use the contact form or email to report an emergency, because we do not monitor them for urgent matters. Rules, laws and licensing requirements for procedures, products and devices differ between states and countries, and you are responsible for checking the requirements that apply to you. The site does not recommend that you attempt any procedure that should be done by a licensed professional. By using the site, you accept that you alone choose whether to act on any information, and that you do so at your own risk, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Make Up Bloom and its owners, operators, editors, contributors, writers, licensors, service providers and their respective affiliates, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages. This includes damages for personal injury, skin, hair or nail reactions, medical expenses, lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, or the cost of substitute products or services. It applies to damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site, or your reliance on any content, whether the claim is in contract, tort including negligence, statute or any other theory. It applies even if we were told that such damages were possible. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are also not liable for decisions you make, products you buy or procedures you undergo based on the site, or for the acts, omissions, products or services of third parties, including manufacturers, retailers, clinicians, hosting and email providers and the operators of linked sites. To the same extent, we are not liable for a message that is not delivered, is delayed, is lost or is read by someone else after it leaves your device. These terms do not set a fixed dollar cap on liability. Some places do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. Where that is the case, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. For example, applicable law may prohibit excluding responsibility for fraud, willful injury or violations of law, and in some places a person’s own gross negligence. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer, statutory or other right you have. This section does not claim that anyone connected with the site can never be held responsible. It states the limits that we ask to apply to the extent the law permits.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Make Up Bloom and its owners, operators, editors, contributors and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of the rights of a third party. This includes claims brought by third parties that result from how you use, copy, republish or rely on the content, or from messages you send to us. We may ask you to cooperate with our defense of such a claim. This section applies only to the extent the law of your location allows it, and some places limit or prohibit indemnification obligations for consumers or for certain kinds of claims. We do not ask you to indemnify us for anything the law does not allow you to be made responsible for.
Third-party links, products and services
The site may link to external websites, such as manufacturer pages, retailer pages, published guidance, research and professional organizations. Those links are provided for reference and convenience. We do not control, operate or endorse those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security, privacy practices, terms or any harm that results from using them. A link does not mean that we have verified the site, the products or the claims on it, or that we have a business relationship with its owner. Products, brands, clinics, retailers and professionals mentioned on the site are independent third parties. We do not sell products, we do not take orders, and we do not process payments. Any purchase, appointment or agreement you make with a third party is between you and that third party. That party is responsible for its own product information, pricing, shipping, returns, warranties, safety, service quality and legal compliance. Please read the terms and privacy policy of any third-party site you visit. Our hosting, spam-protection and email providers, including Cloudflare, are also third parties, and their services are governed by their own terms.
Affiliate and commercial relationships
As of the date at the top of this page, the site has no confirmed affiliate relationships, no advertising network, no sponsorships and no arrangements for free products or other compensation. No link on the site currently earns a commission. The Disclosure page describes this in more detail and is where any change will be explained. If the site later adds affiliate links, advertising, sponsorships or other material commercial relationships, we intend to disclose them clearly on the Disclosure page and near the affected content, and to update the Privacy Policy if data practices change. The absence of a commercial relationship today is not a promise that none will ever exist.
Privacy
Your use of the site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information is handled, how it is used and what choices you have. The Privacy Policy is not a contract that creates obligations beyond what it states, and it does not limit any right you have under applicable law. In short, the site has no analytics, no advertising and no user accounts, and the main information we receive directly is whatever you choose to send through the contact form or by email. The contact page runs Cloudflare Turnstile, which may process technical and browser signals under Cloudflare’s own terms. Hosting infrastructure may also process technical request data, such as your IP address, in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. Please read the full policy for details and limits.
Restriction or termination of access
We may suspend, restrict or block access to the site, in whole or in part, for any visitor or network at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that the visitor has violated these terms, is harming the site or other visitors, is creating security or abuse risks, or if it is needed for technical, legal or operational reasons. We may also disable the contact form at any time and decline to read or respond to messages from anyone. We may discontinue the site or any part of it at any time. Because the site has no accounts, ending access normally means blocking requests or ceasing to answer messages. Sections of these terms that by their nature should continue to apply after access ends, including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnification, will continue to apply to the extent the law allows.
Severability
If a court or other authority finds any part of these terms to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest of the terms will remain in effect. Where possible, the affected provision will be read in a way that is valid and closest to our original intent. We do not promise that every provision of these terms is enforceable in every place.
Waiver
If we do not enforce a provision of these terms, or delay in doing so, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later. A waiver is effective only if it is made in writing by us, and a waiver on one occasion is not a waiver on any other occasion.
Entire agreement and mandatory protections
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Disclosure page, are the entire agreement between you and Make Up Bloom about your use of the site. They replace any earlier understanding about the same subject, including earlier versions of these terms. These terms do not name a governing law, a court or a dispute-resolution forum, and they do not require arbitration, because no such choice has been made for the site. If you have a right under the law that applies to you that cannot be waived, including mandatory consumer protections, that right is not affected by these terms. Where these terms conflict with a mandatory right, the mandatory right prevails to the extent of the conflict. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment, agency or fiduciary relationship between you and us. There are no third-party beneficiaries of these terms, except that the owners, operators, editors, contributors and service providers described above may rely on the protections written for them.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. Because the site is a small publication whose ownership or operation may change, we may assign or transfer these terms and the site, in whole or in part, including in connection with a sale, transfer or reorganization of the site, without your consent. If that happens, the successor will take over our rights and obligations, and we will update the site as appropriate. Any attempted assignment that breaks this section is void to the extent the law allows.
Events outside our reasonable control
We are not responsible for any failure or delay in operating the site or in responding to you that is caused by events outside our reasonable control. These include internet or power failures, outages or changes at hosting, DNS, spam-protection, email or network providers, cyberattacks, denial-of-service attempts, natural disasters, public health emergencies, labor disputes, government action, changes in law and similar events. This does not remove any duty that the law says cannot be excused.
Updates to these terms
We may update these terms as the site, the law or our practices change. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised. Updated terms apply from the date they are posted unless the page says otherwise. We have no accounts or mailing list through which to notify you individually, so posting the revised terms on this page is our usual way of giving notice. If the law requires a different kind of notice or a longer period for a particular change, we will comply with that requirement. If you keep using the site after an update takes effect, you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree with a change, please stop using the site.
Contact
Questions about these terms, and requests for permission or notices of the kind described above, can be sent through the contact form on the Contact page or by email to hello@makeupbloom.com. The contact form is enabled and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile spam checks. Cloudflare reports that mail routing for the receiving inbox is verified and enabled, but the site owners have not yet performed an end-to-end test of the form, so we cannot promise that any message is delivered, received or answered. We do not promise a response or a response time. If you do not hear back, you are welcome to try again by another route. We cannot give personal medical advice or diagnose conditions through the form or by email. The site does not currently publish a legal name or postal address for its operator, and we will update this page if that changes.
