Disclosure
Last updated: October 6, 2026.
This page explains how Make Up Bloom at makeupbloom.com handles money, relationships with brands and the research behind its recommendations. Its purpose is to let you judge our content with full information. The statements here describe how the site is set up on the date above, and they will be updated when the setup changes.
Our approach to commercial disclosure
We believe readers should be able to tell when a recommendation might be influenced by money, free products or another relationship. For that reason, this page states what exists, and also states what does not exist. If a material commercial connection is added, we intend to explain it here and also close to the content it affects, in plain language, rather than leaving it only in a footer or on a separate page. This page is a good-faith statement of our practices. It is not a claim that the site complies with every advertising, endorsement or consumer-protection rule in every place, and it does not replace legal advice for anyone who relies on it. Other relevant pages are the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
Affiliate relationships
No affiliate relationships are confirmed at present. The site is not enrolled in Amazon Associates or in any other affiliate or commission program, and it has no affiliate links today. No link on the site earns the owners a commission, fee or referral payment if you click it or buy something. If an affiliate relationship is added in the future, we will say so on this page and will label the affected links or pages clearly where they appear. The Privacy Policy would also be updated if affiliate links brought any tracking with them.
Advertising
The site does not run advertising. No ad network, ad exchange, sponsored placement or programmatic advertising is configured, and no advertising scripts or tracking pixels are installed. Because no ads appear, there is no placement of ads to describe and nothing to separate from editorial content at present. If advertising is added later, we will describe here where ads appear and how we separate them from editorial content. We will also update the Privacy Policy, because advertising can involve cookies and data sharing that the policy currently says do not exist.
Sponsorships and sponsored content
No sponsorship arrangement is configured. No brand, clinic, retailer or agency pays for coverage, placement, ranking or wording on the site. If sponsored content is ever published, it will be labeled as sponsored on the page itself, near the top, and described here. Sponsored content would not be presented as independent editorial research.
Compensation, free products and material relationships
No arrangement for free products, samples, gifts, services, trips, discounts, payments or other compensation from companies connected to the products or services we cover is configured as of the date above. The site owners have not supplied information about any financial or personal relationship with a brand covered on the site that a reasonable reader would expect to be told about, and none is described here. The site does not currently use a seller, brand or clinic to supply product for photography or review. If that changes, we will state the relationship plainly on the page where the product or service is covered. If a relationship exists with one product, that does not mean it exists with every product. We will say which one.
Editorial independence and conflicts of interest
Content is chosen and written by the site’s owners and editors under the Nora Whitfield persona, without payment from the companies covered. Because there is no advertising, affiliate income or sponsorship today, there is no commercial pressure from those sources over which products are included or how they are described. That does not make the content free of error or bias. Writers can be wrong, can prefer certain textures or price points, and can rely on sources that turn out to be mistaken. If a conflict of interest arises, such as a close personal or financial tie to a brand, we intend to disclose it or to avoid covering the subject. The site also has operating costs, and the owners may want to earn income from it in the future, so the absence of income today is not a promise about the future.
No guaranteed results, earnings or savings
Nothing on the site guarantees that a product, routine, device or procedure will work for you. Results depend on skin type, skin tone, hair type, age, health, medication, technique, storage and many other factors. Descriptions of how long something may last, how recovery may progress or how a product may feel are general and based on the sources described below, not promises. Price information and any mention of a budget option, a deal or a saving is not a promise that you will pay a particular amount or save a particular amount. The site does not offer income opportunities and makes no claims about earnings.
How we research products and topics
Reviews and roundups on the site are research-based. We draw on ingredient lists, manufacturer information, published guidance from professional and public-health sources, and patterns in owner reports, such as recurring comments about texture, irritation or durability. They are not hands-on laboratory tests, and no hands-on lab testing is claimed. We do not claim to have personally tested, used or worn any product unless a specific article explicitly says so. This approach has limits. Ingredient lists do not show concentration, formulation quality or how a product behaves on your skin. Manufacturer information is written to promote the product. Owner reports can be unrepresentative, can include mistaken or biased opinions, and can be affected by fake or incentivized reviews. Published guidance can be updated or can differ between sources and countries. The site does not publish customer testimonials or reader reviews, and it does not present any testimonial or before-and-after result that is not genuine. Images are illustrative and are not before-and-after results from real clients. The site’s writer is a fictional editorial persona with a generated portrait, so personal anecdotes in the persona’s biography are part of an editorial voice and are not evidence of real credentials, employment or testing, as the About page explains.
Product details, prices, availability and warranties
Product formulas, ingredients, shades, sizes, prices, promotions, availability, packaging and warranties change often, and they can differ between retailers and regions. Information on the site may be out of date by the time you read it. Please check the current product label, the manufacturer’s directions and the seller’s page before you decide. The site does not sell products and is not the seller of anything it mentions. The seller or manufacturer is responsible for the accuracy of its listings, for shipping, returns, refunds, product safety and any warranty. We are not a party to any purchase you make and cannot arrange returns or warranty claims for you. If you buy something after reading the site, you do so under the third party’s terms.
Informational purpose and professional advice
The site is for general education only. It is not medical, dermatological or professional advice, and it cannot diagnose or treat any condition. Skin reactions, allergic reactions, hair loss, skin conditions and nail problems can have medical causes, and cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, peels, lasers and microneedling are medical or quasi-medical treatments that carry risks and should be performed by licensed clinicians. At-home devices such as LED masks and microneedling tools, and do-it-yourself hair color, hair removal and gel or dip nail removal, can cause burns, infection or damage. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, medication and prescription treatments can change what is suitable. Please talk to a licensed dermatologist, physician, pharmacist or other qualified professional about your own situation, and read the more detailed risk descriptions in the Terms of Use.
Accuracy, updates, errors and corrections
We try to be accurate, but we do not promise that every statement is correct, complete or current. We may revise pages as guidance, products and prices change, and we may not always mark the change. If you find an error, an outdated price or something unclear, please use the form on the Contact page or email hello@makeupbloom.com with the page and details. We welcome corrections, and we will review them in good faith. We do not promise to publish every requested change, to reply, or to meet a particular timeline. Where a correction changes a recommendation in a significant way, we intend to fix the page and, where useful, note the change.
Where disclosures appear
A disclosure is only useful if you can see it when you need it. Because no affiliate, advertising, sponsorship or compensation relationship exists today, there are no relationship-specific labels near product mentions, links or roundups at this time. If one is added, our intention is to place a clear statement close to the affected recommendation or link, before you click, and not only on this page. The disclosure would be written in plain language, so that it is understandable on a phone screen and does not depend on hovering, hidden text or a footer link. This page will also be updated to describe the change and its date.
Questions and updates
This page will be revised when the facts it describes change, and the date at the top will show the latest revision. We have no accounts or mailing list, so updates are posted here rather than sent to you. If you have a question about this disclosure, use the contact form on the Contact page or email hello@makeupbloom.com. The form is enabled and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, and Cloudflare reports that the receiving inbox is verified and forwarding is ready. The owners have not yet run an end-to-end delivery test, so we cannot promise that a message will be received or answered, and we give no response time.
